UPDATE 9/24/07: Here is how much has been raised so far–
Technorati Tags: podchef, gastrocast, cooking school, culinary podcast, video podcast, video camera

I donated $25.00 please fellow listeners, if every 5th one of us matches this we will be there in no time. The content we already have received from the Podchef is worth a lot more than that. Every little bit helps.

Ps.
Neal
You really looked uncomfortable doing that.
Naturally
the old saying of you get what you pay for comes to mind. in this case, those who have been receiving neal’s podcasts for any length of time have gotten a whole lot of value for nothing.
if you continue to search for worthwhile podcasted material, as i do, you find there isn’t a lot new out there that is worth much. a good deal of the podcasts are subtly and not-so-subtly geared to selling the wares of all sorts of merchants. neal’s selling a bunch of ideas and tales of experience that i think a lot of us find at least entertaining and of value.
neal’s intention of beefing up (or is that porking up) the video aspects of what he is doing is thwarted by lack of proper equipment, i.e, a quality video camera.
i urge other subscribers here to join with me in making a decent donation to the podchef so he can make this really modest purchase that will allow him to raise the level of material he is putting out to us on a regular basis.
ya, as ed said, neal looked a bit uncomfortable in asking for help. he shouldn’t be at all.
Neal, I wish I could go in “whole hog” and buy you the camera, alas, my technology budget is strapped as well. I am donating as much as I can and I hope as many of your listeners are merely as delayed as I was in watching the video and will be donating now, so you can get the camera in time for the Pork Pageant.
I also agree that Neal looked very uncomfortable, as I would, begging for assistance producing something for nothing. I appreciated it, though. It displays a humility rarely seen these days. I’m glad Neal, unlike other content providers I’ve seen, doesn’t feel entitled to payment or other compensation, even though the quality and quantity he provides very much ranks him as deserving compensation.
Thank you, Neal, for all you do!
Hi Neil.
More than happy to make a small contribution. Your videos are great.
Personally, I was a chef for many years http://mcneill.com.au/specialist_areas.htm and now help run a Bokashi Business in Australia. The videos you are producing are good for industry, as well as our gourmand friends.
It was your “How to Make Bokashi” video that inspired me to make a couple of our own http://youtube.com/profile_videos?user=billjackjane
Please keep up the good work.

$15.00 more come on people!
